If someone would print new plates, with the holes cut out for everything, and a new battery cover, I’d be happy.

As for that small knob on the battery side, you could print a knob that fits over it.

Im not putting motors in mine, either.

Wouldnt work that way. The spot needs the smaller plate and a knob that is smaller or the same size as current one.

I was tempted to just print whole new side plates, but didnt see it as needed.

I did send a buddy some new side plates for his, as well as a pedal kit.

I would like to add the GB2 knob, without mutilating the trap.

I was thinking about doing a GBII knob as well I think you could just cut the existing knob off and put a bolt thru the hole and mount whatever knob you want to it.

As for the plate I just cut a rectangle out of a DVD case and drilled a hole the same size as the knob

so far I have repainted the plates, redone the wiring (didnt work at first), and added a bard for trap pedal.

still have a few more ideas, but they will have to wait.

Nice work! Would love one of those plates for the yellow lights if you ever want to print off a few and sell!

That looks amazing. Im sorry to ask but is there anyway you could do a walkthrough with all the parts you used?

Curious about this pedal kit. I'm not ambitious enough, right now, to make it functional. Collecting and weighing ideas/options.

All of this is excellent work. I love it. I am going to build a pedal for my traps as well. I don't plan on putting servos in any time soon. Just something to hang off the belt. I already have a matty trap so I'm happy with that

This looks fantastic! Awesome work. You’ve inspired me to upgrade the Spirit trap I picked up yesterday.
While I’m not ambitious enough to open it up and make modifications to the internals, I’m thinking I’ll at least paint it and add some other external details like the plate around the bar graph and the smaller side plate around the knob.

Can I ask what paint you used for the side plates? I’d like to get mine to look like metal without making them shiny.

So I've gotten my Foster connectors in and I'm looking at the back of that trap and wondering how well it will really be able to handle plugging in and unplugging a hose from one of these all the time.

Zander Yurami, how has yours held up plugging in and unplugging your hose? Did you reinforce anything around the plug that you put in the back of the trap?

I didn't even think about that. Glad I didn't try it, yet.

All I did was apply some super glue to the threads before screwing it in. So far it has held up great

Hey! The 3D pedal and trap parts are my design that you can fully 3D print and/or add as much real hardware as you like.
Files can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1394492
Fully illustrated build guides can be found on my site: https://bit.ly/3D_Kit_Instructions
There's a pretty big thread you can check out as well: http://www.gbfans.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=41004

Also, if you are looking to mod the Spirit trap, WindDrake did some mods based off my parts: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3082663

And since the 'metal' side panels are molded in I think Adam's metal tape technique may work well to jazz them up:
