I'd had this idea a while back, but as it was a season-specific item I'd wanted to get, it wouldn't become available until the stores started stocking Christmas Decorations.

And as it happens, whilst being in town on Monday to purchase a replacement set of lights, I spied the set of lights I'd wanted to get:



The lights are a set of 20 battery operated red and green LEDs from Wilkinsons, a UK based retail chain and take two C cell batteries. The lights have two functions, static and flash and sould work pretty well for a set of 'stunt' lights, and as a cheap stand-in until a more screen accurate set can be made.

Sadly that was one thing I couldn't remember... but I think they were something like £2-3, maybe a bit more.

I can double check later today.

Excellent find. I'll have to look out for a set. I bet in January they'll be practically giving them away
