I just thought of another idea for a possible third film, maybe it's far out or not I don't know.

In the first movie when the GBs were fighting Gozer on the top of Dana's apartment they destroyed the roof after making a huge explosion by crossing the streams.

I assume (in the movie universe) they rebuilt the roof of the building.

What if after closing the doors by crossing the streams they actually opened another small wormhole to another dimension (due to the huge explosion) that has been letting ghosts come through and now the wormhole or door is getting bigger.


Would it be possible to use familiar locations (ie the apartment from the first movie) in a new film but not have it be a carbon copy of the first 2 films?
