I bought my pack used, and have no idea how worn the lithium ion battery was. I spent about four hours in a casino on Saturday with the pack, in a costume contest. This is where the power first failed. Afterwards, even with multiple hours of charging and new, tested AA batteries, all the pack will do is power up for a few seconds. The light on the charger stayed green the entire time. If the pack is plugged directly into the wall via the adapter, it works fine. This leads me to believe that the rechargeable lithium battery is bad. Is it possible that electromagnetic interference at the casino ruined the lithium battery? Do you think that the lithium battery could just need replacing? I'm almost sure that it's just the battery, but wanted input before buying a new one. Thanks for your help.

If you ran a lithium battery fully dead beyond a charge point in the cells or ran one of the cells fully dead the battery could very well be a paperweight. Some very nice lithium chargers have a "force charge" option however it's not recommended unless you charge it outside in a "lipo bag" in case the cells become unstable, puff up, and could ruptured and that could be a fire hazard (years ago I used to own an Airsoft Shop and i worked with lithium batteries daily and would occasionally be able to salvage one) odds are if you ran it and ran it it's probably puffed up or dead and would need another. Most hobby/Airsoft/RC shops will stock them or pay out the butt for batteries plus to make you one but I highly recommend getting a lipo/battery alarm. It's usually around $5 and will connect to the battery and when the battery gets low the alarm will sound a "beep beep beep" like an old alarm clock and you know to disconnect and recharge

I'm thinking of picking this up:

It should be plug and play. Thanks for the info. I will also pick up a battery alarm. So, you're saying that I should recharge after every event as a rule ? Thanks.

I would top of off after each use if it's heavy use, lithium batteries don't drain as quickly as NIMH/NICAD and other types of batteries when not in use so topping it off would be a good idea. Also I would disconnect the battery when your done using your pack if there is any contact or anything drawing just a small bit of power when the battery is connected it could over time drain the battery again.

should work just fine however just make sure it will connect to your pack if not you may need different connectors (tamya, deans, ect ect) make sure the voltage is the same for your pack, and remember with chinese made batteries 9 time out of 10 the MAH rating is lie.
