A non-existent switch that most folk would never notice. It looks as though the Afterlife pack may have that switch, though, in a nice callback.

It's like the way Rick Moranis fires the proton gun - they all just did whatever made the gag work on the day!

My personal solution was to add a rotational switch to the Legris elbow on the underside of the ion arm.
