Since I made my son's hasbro pack look a little more like a movie one, he asked me to do the same for his PKE.
So I just wanted to share how well these things "clean up"
Just posting this stock image as reference of what it used to look like.
First thing I did after taking it apart, was sand off the GB logo. That would have shown through the paint.
Taped off the screen and and hit it with filler primer to help hide any scratches left from the sanding. (Just to add more scratches later)
Gave it all a flat black coat. To get the scratches, I sprayed some sandpaper with silver paint and scratched up the toy. Did some hand painted black bits to make it look like some touch-ups had been done to the paint.
Over all, it is a nice toy that will make for a good looking prop.
