I really like it, but not sure I like the price. I have all the other legos that were brought out, but might have to pass on this one.

worth every cent. Takes a bit of time though to build it. ;)

I picked one up because I really wanted the VIP poster, but I'm undecided.

tripoli yours looks excellent where it's displayed.

In the flesh it looks less impressive than the CG renders on the packaging and promo art. I don't care for the rust stickers either. I guess that's the nature of Lego, but there are some strange inaccuracies too. For me, the aesthetic appeal of the Ecto is the metallic sheen and the curves and this isn't a strength of this model. Plus the door and gunner seat detail is super basic.

Not knocking the figure for those who want a better Lego Ecto - it's just with so much GB merch recently this is expensive and I would prefer more detail on an 1:18 Ecto.

I'd be more interested in minimates and building sets to go with the Afterlife movie, like the Firehouse set.

But it's not a 1:18 Ecto-1 in the traditional sense, like the diecast replicas Hotwheels used to offer... It's a LEGO kit, and thus restricted to what can be achieved through the medium of the bricks.

There's definitely a few bits I'll be tweaking, but as for more detail? I'm not sure they could've put more in without needing to make the model bigger, and then more expensive.

I'm still taken back how successfully they rendered the 1959 Miller Meteor chassis.

It is Lego, so there is a limit of what they can do, but I am super impressed with all they did. And I have to bet, after Afterlife comes out, it will resonate more to me as well.
Of course for that ultra realistic piece, I am working on a Eagle moss model, just soooo Slooow with those kits. Wish I could speed that up a lot more so I can get it done now.

So jealous of Eagle Moss builders.

I was looking at some of the Lego Technic range sets, which seem to suit vehicles better than the Creator style, as they have a lot of custom curved panelling so they look more high-end when displayed.

I'll probably end up building this over xmas anyway.

What will be cruel is if Eaglemoss decides to create the Afterlife model. I don't know if I should offer the suggestion or keep quite for the sake of my pocketbook.
