My favorite building in the world even though most of the building was fictional. Here is my current progress on The Shandor. I now working on the base of the structure then on to the shading and coloring.

This is awesome! I'd love to get a hold of the 3D file and try to make a scale model!

Excellent 3D work, and the textured model clearly shows you've been doing your homework as it's not all that obvious from the movie that the colour of the brickwork of 55CPW gets lighter towards the top of the building. :)

Looking forward to seeing your replica of the Temple section.

Thanks guys. Yeah I made sure to add the shading. It was hard to do. Anyways I had to take a month off but I'm back at it. I have started on the temple mount.

Not sure what modeler you are using, but if you can bake ao on the textures, It'll darken corners making the 3d appearance pop a lot more.

Have you uv unwrapped this yet?

Thank you. Gareee, I am using 3ds Max 2014. Sorry I don't know what you mean by bake ao. I'm just learning how to work with this. Can you help me on it? I did map the textures though. What do you guys think of the brick work and the faces on the temple mount? Gothic enough? :)

Just finished the exterior of the temple mount. I'm going to finally start on the best and hardest part of the model. The temple. Wish me luck.

Does anyone know if there are any wide shots of this cubby hole? I don't think I got it right.

hey stfanboy... great, great work.

I had a hard time explaining how I see it, so just drew a quick doodle. Maybe I'm looking at the photo from the movie wrong, but this is what it looks like to me (if you were looking down on the guys from above). Hope this helps in your accuracy. ;)

Looks great. The odd thing is that in the city I live in a building has been constructed which looks a lot like this building!..Kinda strange....hmmm

I tired to model the alter but I'm not good at doing anything organic. It's going to be problematic since that's mostly what I have left on this building.

I was never very good with organic stuff either, my strengths were in inanimate objects, rooms and buildings.

Yeah me too. I might just model each detail separately then put them together. I think it will be easier that way. Unfortunately there is a lot to do.

This is amazing work. Had they added some multiplayer dlc for the video game, this would have been an epic survival level with a Staypuft cut scene and ending. Thanks for making what could have been somewhat of a reality.
