Hopefully, someone else from Canada can help, so my order is finally in Canada but after customs got cleared I got hit with an additional $35 CAD! in duties! is this pretty normal? The last time I ordered there were no taxes.

What was the value of the previous order, compared to the recent one? The first thing that comes to mind is potentially the total value... The amount of electronics in the order may've reached a threshold that is subject to duty/tax.
