The description for the imported frame includes: "and include the same style straps and kidney belts as used in the film", so I would read that as the frame is sold with straps included, but they're the style specifically used in Afterlife, rather than Ghostbusters or Ghostbusters II.

You'd need to purchase that separate set of straps if you want a set that is visually close (if not 100% accurate) to the 1984 movie straps.

That’s how I interpreted it, but wasn’t sure because the separate ALICE frame and straps listed in the shop cost double the amount of this set so figured it was worth asking. Now to debate on this frame vs the Rothco on Amazon.

I bought a used ALICE frame (including a medium backpack) which appears to be a LC-1 frame (black, no space between frame and crossbar) with LC-2 straps (single strip webbing, dual quick release, large kidney pad). I think I'm happy with that and not going to go for 100% accuracy to GB1 or GB2.

But does anybody know if there's a way to make the hard plastic "quick release" belt buckle actually quick-releasable? At least on my pack it's very hard to open. Obviously I could replace it with a different buckle, but it would be nice to keep it screen accurate but still easier to open.

Don't know, but I would say to be extra careful about releasing it, since mine snapped :(
I'm not sure if it's a common thing, but mine was SUPER brittle and snapped in the first few days. I replaced the buckle with a parachute clip.

I'm really paranoid about the shoulder straps of my Rothco slipping through or coming undone while wearing my modded Hasbro pack. Does anyone know if there are clips, pins or some other kind of fasteners that I can tack on to give me more peace of mind?
