Dan Aykroyd appeared on Saturday Kitchen on UK TV today. It’s a great appearance, recommend this whole show.
He let slip James Acaster’s character builds new equipment for the team (paraphrasing).

Where can we see the segment? Does he get to cook something?

So if anyone wants to find the time stamp and transcribe the quote of Dan talking about Acaster's character, please do. <cough>Kingpin<cough>robbitron<cough>
EDIT: I think if you use a VPN service, you should be able to watch it. Connect to a VPN Server in the UK, make an account on BBC iPlayer, and voila.

Dammit it Derrek. Now I want Fish and Chips. Sadly it's hard to find a pub in the U.S. that serves them the old fashioned way. I mean, the cars are nice.Lol.
and by old fashioned I mean served in newspaper. There's nothing quite like walking into a centurys old pub and being able to appreciate the history of it.

Better look at the Ecto from Firehouse:

New roof equipment? (although those do look like Grip pipes for film rigging - perhaps for camera mount) AND the red stripes go all the way to the headlights now!!

I really think the pipes are for camera/grip mounting. You can even see a support beam inside of the passenger door, also looks like the camera is inside. There's black pads to guard the paint of the roof, which I doubt are a real addition canon wise - just precaution during filming
edit: ENHANCE! It's a POV shot from inside the ecto, you can see the street view in the monitor. I'm certain those pipes wont be there in the end product

To quote Roger Taylor: I'm in love with *my* car.
Digging the slight redesign. I like the red stripes on the front. I'm glad they didn't go the 1A route.

I really like the extended red strip down the hood; it sets it noticeably apart from the other Ectos, but is still a pretty subtle addition.

Loving the new stripes and the working Propelloray, not so thrilled on the blue side hoses being made silver as I feel that's lost a bit of the colour contrast with Ecto-1's predominately white appearance... But I can live with it.
Good to have some clearer photos of the "clamshell", which was first spotted near the end of April on the Ecto-1 prop that was/is in London (along with the silver side hoses):
-Would be interesting to know if the car also had the new red stripe detailing as well.
As for what the "clamshell is"? I'm tempted to think it might be a retractable cover for a drone... Probably not a Ghost Trap drone, but maybe a camera drone, or a airborne P.K.E. receiver.
Location breakdowns:
Photo 2 = Idling on 5th Avenue where it crosses 21st Street.
Photo 3 = Driving south on 5th Avenue, with Rapaport House (155 5th Avenue) in the background.
Photo 4 = Parked outside 1 West 22nd Street, 4 West 22nd Street is visible in the background.

= 5th Avenue & 18th Street, looking west along 18th Street, with Ecto-1 and some of the other cars appearing to be driving north in reverse on 5th Avenue.

It's like Christmas morning see some NYC GB filming.
EDIT: https://www.instagram.com/p/CtCOgIIrv2e/
I think this one is at 4 W 22nd St based on Sagaponack in the b.g.
It makes sense for a new trap to be made for mobile pursuits. As cool as the RTV is, if mass produced and used on street pursuits, they would get run over and totaled over and over. Though curious with the logistics. Someone on the gunner chair would have a hard time, but I guess essentially pulling the ghost nearly overheard but then again that trap's vortex strength could be strong in power and a wider range like the Super Slammer.
Kingpin wrote: ↑June 3rd, 2023, 4:43 pmThank you for identifying all that, Kingpin. Just thank you.

Been waiting since Ghostbusters II to see the Ecto in it's home environment!
