Can anyone find the actual location of these? I am in Philadelphia, I called all of the places that have hologate VR in a hundred mile radius, none have ghostbusters.

Did your team go?
No. Both of the places near us we called and neither of them have the Ghostbusters specific shit. :(

I'm legit starting to get the feeling only the UK has it right now...

I think even Troy, on the new Crossrip episode, mentioned not even the main LA location has it and they had no clue about GB.

So I've done some digging into this because I may be near a Hologate location later this year.

Firstly, the blog post says:
Ghostbusters VR Academy is now available at 450+ HOLOGATE locations across 42 countries worldwide.

VR fans can now enlist at the new, fully-immersive Ghostbusters training academy, learn to be a real Ghostbuster, and fulfill a lifelong dream to operate iconic ghostbusting equipment in two distinct games across two HOLOGATE platforms – the pioneering multiplayer VR platform, HOLOGATE ARENA, and premium VR motion simulator, HOLOGATE BLITZ.
So despite that first sentence, I'm not entirely sure if all 450+ locations actually have the ARENA and BLITZ products?
The Locations page doesn't clarify this, it just lists their locations. It really doesn't help that their website is targeted to buyers, not players (ie businesses that want to buy/license Hologate for their arcades).

The FAQ is not helpful either:
Q: "Is Hologate Arena available in my country?"
A: "Yes, talk to our sales team if you want to buy it..."

I checked a few locations here in Australia and from the photos they look like they're Hologate ARENA, the setup looks very similar to the UK Hologate that the Firehouse cast were playing. But I can't tell for sure if it's the same setup.

If the hardware is identical in all ARENA locations, then wouldn't it just be a matter of them downloading Ghostbusters onto the server?

Also, I assume this was supposed to be a link but it doesn't go anywhere...
Image

Hologate Singapore lists it in both ARENA and BLITZ:
https://www.hologate.sg/ghostbusters-vr-academy

I guess ARENA is walking around with the proton pack, BLITZ is driving in the ECTO-9? So do all locations have both ARENA and BLITZ, or do some only have one option?

Feel like we need to bombard Hologate with requests for where the game is available, so they start pushing their customers to get the game up and running in their arcades.
That is, if they're not also demanding those customers pay an additional license fee for this specific game?

So to summarize, this line:
"Ghostbusters VR Academy is now available at 450+ HOLOGATE locations across 42 countries worldwide."
probably wasn't meant for us. It probably should have read:
"Ghostbusters VR Academy is now available for all 450+ HOLOGATE locations across 42 countries worldwide to download if they feel like it."

I looked around twitter and saw some locations confirmed:

-March 28 at Gravity Active Entertainment Center in Wandsworth, England (Finn, Mckenna, Logan played at)

-opened March 31 at the Andretti Indoor Karting and Games in Buford, Georgia
https://twitter.com/AndrettiBuford/stat ... 3212266496

-opened April 5 at Newvu in Stevenage, SG1 1EG, Hertfordshire, UK

-opened April 8 at the Andretti Indoor Karting and Games in Atlanta, Georgia
https://twitter.com/ATLGhostbusters/sta ... 7815335937
https://twitter.com/ATLGhostbusters/sta ... 5203834881

-opened April 15/16 at the Andretti Indoor Karting and Games in San Antonio, Texas
https://twitter.com/AndrettiSATexas/sta ... 4314724354

-opened April 22 at the Andretti Indoor Karting and Games in Orlando, Florida
https://twitter.com/AndrettiOrlando/sta ... 9883062279

-opened April 29 at the Andretti Indoor Karting and Games in Katy, Texas
https://twitter.com/AndrettiKaty/status ... 1709511682
https://twitter.com/AndrettiKaty/status ... 2582489090

-UK unknown location

So towns outside London and some US states in the South have them at the very least. But with the Andretti branches, it's worth noting each branch is opening them at various points in April not on the actual launch day in March. Yeah, seems like the launch was not meant to be on any one day but is happening slowly over the spring/summer.

Got to have a go on this as a belated Father's Day treat yesterday in Gravity Wandsworth. It's pretty short at roughly 8 minutes, but there is something really magical about firing off a proton stream in a full 3D environment. They're putting in a second Ghostbusters game in there later this year, so I'll probably go back and do both next time. It was a good day out!
