Trivia
- Captain Steel is one of the reasons Ray wanted to become a Ghostbuster, to battle the forces of darkness.
- Ray carries a Captain Steel Junior Crime Stoppers membership card.
- Captain Steel's creator, Len Wolfman(voiced by Maurice Lamarche) may be a reference to comic book writer, Marv Wolfman.
- Winston makes reference to Gozer the Gozarian from the first movie.
- Several references to the comic book hero, Superman are made. Ray says "Look! Up in the sky!" to which Winston responds "I can't believe he said that" Captain Steel's secret identity is Kirk Clint(a reference to Superman's secret identity of Clark Kent) Also Peter makes fun of Captain Steel's disguise of just changing his clothes and putting on a pair of glasses.
- The Ghostbusters cross the streams in this episode to avoid certain doom.
- When the Ghostbusters and Captain Steel arrive at the Firehouse, Winston is incorrectly colored leaving two Rays in the shot.
- Captain Steel makes a reappearance in the episode [The Copycat], although as a form taken by said ghost in that episode.
